Quote of the Day

“Capitalism and communism stand at opposite poles. Their essential difference is this: The communist, seeing the rich man and his fine home, says: ‘No man should have so much.’ The capitalist, seeing the same thing, says: ‘All men should have as much.’ “

–Phelps Adams

Singing the Blues Amerika Finds Itself in the Red

In today’s UKTimes, Daniel Finkelstein writes about the reasons why Americans voted for Barack Obama as President of the United States.  His primary premise is that America itself is richer, smarter and less white.

Let’s ponder that statement for a moment.

Nope, I’m not buying all of it.

America on Election Day was decidedly poorer than it was in 2004 when George W. Bush was elected President.  In fact, the Committee for a Responsible Budget recently reported that U.S. budget deficit numbers hover near $1 trillion dollars.  According to an ABC News Report, this deficit represents the

highest level of federal red ink as a share of the overall economy of any US budget since the 1940s. For each household, this year’s deficit would pile on an extra $8,620 of federal debt.

So much for being us being richer.

As for being smarter, Americans chose to elect a man who, by his own admission, wants to “spread the wealth around.”

But with a $1 trillion dollar deficit, there is not going to be much opportunity to use the tax code to create wealth here in America for a long time, especially with all of the economic promises made during the election cycle.

And the sad fact is that many of the promises made during the campaign are sure to be broken as the harsh reality of our diminishing economy, and the global economy as a whole, become more and more evident to all of us.

Besides, our first priority should be to reduce government spending before we commit any additional federal dollars for new programs.  But we can only accomplish this task by cutting earmarks and reducing the size of government, two things which are unlikely to occur with overwhelmingly Democratic representation in both houses of Congress and in the Office of President.

The only way out is through economic growth, which cannot occur if capital gains taxes are not drastically reduced.  Without decreased taxation, American corporations are not incentivized to create new jobs.  And as the global economy continues its downward spiral, the American economy will also continue to suffer from lack of capital, increasing interest rates and growing deficits in international markets.

We need to produce something the world wants.

And we need to figure out what that might be…quickly.  But the truth is that the entire world is in uncharted economic territory.  None of the stop-gap measures taken in any country have halted the economic skid.

And nobody is buying anything right now.

But creating more government jobs is not a solution.  It is an act of inherent self-destruction.

We tax ourselves more to create more jobs for which we tax ourselves more to keep our jobs.  Before long, we start to look a lot like…China…or Cuba.  Pick the communist country of your choice.

Which brings me to Finklestein’s last point:  America is less white.

And I agree with him on this point:

Amerika has become a red state.  She not only finds herself in the red financially, but she is in the red ideologically.

Legislating and agressively promoting marxist economic policies, the Democrats have, in this election, purchased for themselves two years of our time and our money to use as they see fit with more Fannies, more Freddies, and far less accountability than ordinary citizens can even imagine.

But the people of America have spoken.  They must really like the blues.

As for me, I’m seeing red.

And I don’t like it.

Auntie Zeituni: Living the Obama Life in America

If I help him, he’s gonna help me!

Tell that to Aunt Zeituni Onyango living illegally in the squalor of Barney Frank’s home state of Massachusettes.  Maybe we should ask her how the Obama wealth redistribution plan is working for her.

Especially since she has given over two hundred sixty of her hard earned American dollars to his campaign.  Illegally.

Wow.  She must be RICH!

She lives in public housing and lists the Boston Housing Authority as her employer.  I can only guess that living in America in squalor is far better than living in squalor in Kenya, where the “other” famous Obama relative lives on one dollar per month.

Barak Obama says he didn’t know she was living here. Or that she had a government house and a government job.

Or that she was illegal.

But so were her campaign contributions.  And he didn’t know about them or where they came from either.

Just like he doesn’t know where all of those other “illegal” campaign donations are coming from, including the ones that come from other illegal aliens, illegal sources or other global citizens just contributing thousands of dollars in small increments on untraceable credit cards.

After all, we can’t even track the illegal aliens in this country…all because they don’t have drivers’ licences.

But soon some of them will have government houses, thanks to failures of Barney Frank, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.  And under the Obama Amnesty Plan, more of them will have drivers’ licences and government jobs.  As we speak, Nancy Pelosi is busy working on her jobs creation plan to present to Congress immediately after the election.

Guess who will get hired first?

Just remember, if the poorest of the poor can come to America (just how did she pay for her plane ticket anyway?) and still have $260 to give to a presidential campaign, then ALL of us are rich.

And all of us will have to pay a little more.  After all, as Joe Biden reminded us, it’s our patriotic duty.

What a great country.

But don’t look for it to stay that way with Obama as president.

After all, Auntie Zeituni left Kenya:  she didn’t expect to find Kenya here.

She came to see her nephew Barry.

But he’s lost.  And so is she.

Lost in the socialist bureacracies we call welfare and illegal immigration status.

And so will be America if he wins on Tuesday.

Biden Strikes Out; Obama Takes Ball and Goes Home

As a result of the interview below, the Obama campaign has issued a statement denying WFTV access to the Obama campaign for the remainder of the election season.  Apparently, despite supporting the Phillies while in Philly, and spreading the love to the Devil Rays while in Florida, Obama dislikes hardball.

Reported in the Orlando Sentinel:  Dems nix WFTV chat with Jill Biden

Why did Barack Obama‘s campaign cancel a WFTV-Channel 9 interview with Jill Biden, wife of Sen. Joe Biden? The campaign cited “an unprofessional interview” WFTV’s Barbara West did Thursday with Joe Biden. In a statement Friday, Adrianne Marsh, Florida spokeswoman for Obama’s campaign, said the station, in talking with Sen. Biden, was “both combative and woefully uninformed about simple facts.” Marsh said West’s insistence that Obama was an organizer for ACORN was “100 percent false.” “In a line of questioning that would make Rush Limbaugh proud, West even went as far as to quote Karl Marx, a Communist icon, in a disturbing attempt to associate Barack Obama with socialism,” Marsh wrote. West said, “I think I asked him some pointed questions. . . . I don’t think I was rude or inconsiderate to him.”

A standing ovation to Barbara West for handling tough questions professionally and appropriately.

A word to Obama and Biden: You’re OUT!

Obama Schleps over to Hawaii

To Grandmother’s House We Go…

The recent word on the street is that Barak Obama is hot on the heels of Andy Martin for his own Hawaiian schlepover with his ailing grandmother.  Canceling his campaign appearances Thursday and Friday, Obama is expected to arrive in Hawaii in time to help celebrate granny’s 86th birthday on Sunday.

Apparently, Obama is quite fond of “Toot,” as is demonstrated by the abundance of photos available of Toot with Barry, Toot with Barry and Michele, Toot with Barry, Michelle and the great-granddaughters.

What?  You say that no such photos exist?

The only photo that demonstrates his warm, fuzzy relationship with granny is a twenty-five year old picture?

But where is Michelle?  And where are the great-grandbabies?  And why aren’t they going with him to visit granny?

Oh, that’s right.  They were just there during their vacation…and they spent a whole hour with her.

The truth is that every grandmother wants to see her grandchildren…even if it is on her sickbed…just to have some comfort…and some company.

We pray that granny is truly on the mend from her broken hip.  But we heard the injury occurred when Barry threw her under the bus by referring to her as “a [white] woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion… uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.”

Wow.  Talk about public disclosure.  There is no mending that rift in the family fabric.

And while granny’s prognosis may be good for this injury, we don’t know if she will ever recover from her broken heart.

Years of estrangement will do that to the stoutest soul.

But granny…beware.

Opening your door to a wolf posing as your grandson can not produce a happy ending for you.

And electing him president will not produce a happy ending for us either.

We’ve all been swallowed alive here.

We can only hope that Andy Martin will show up with his axe to set us free.

Barak Obama: Just another one of us…?

Barak Obama would have all of us believe that he is just like us.  He knows how we feel…he has lived the way we live…he understands our struggles and because he does, we can have hope for the future because he knows what is best to cure the ills of our broken society so that we can all enjoy the change he will bring to our nation.

Let’s face it:  Barak Obama is so much like each of us.  Let’s look closely at all of the ways we are alike.

We had a rebellious, radical mother, who as a minor was involved with an older man from another race… from another entire continent, and we traveled with her, in utero of course, to meet his family.  We don’t know whether or not we were born there:  there is some confusion about which hospital we were born in.

But there is no confusion about what happened next.  Daddy dumped us to go to Harvard.  He had to do it:  It was the opportunity of a lifetime.

And so we were left behind.

After he abandoned both of us, we traveled to Indonesia with a new daddy, and registered for school, just like any other child.  We were registered as Muslim because our stepfather was a Muslim.  And everyone knows that if your parent is a Muslim, then you are also a Muslim.

At some point, we left Indonesia to live with our grandparents in Hawaii.  Our mother abandoned us there while she spent years wandering around the globe with our sister.  We missed her…and hated her for leaving us there and taking our sister with her.

We felt lost…and unloved.

So we spent our high school years drifting in a smoky haze of drugs and radical ideas while sitting at the feet of poet and pedophile Frank Marshall Davis, listening over and over again to the rhythm of his traitorous words.  We were stoned, and we liked it.  We can’t remember anything else that happened.

After high school, we went off to Occidental College, and drifted some more.  No one remembers us there.  In fact, no one remembers a single thing about us.  We had no friends, other than two foreign roommates, and yet, when we applied for transfer to Columbia University, we, somehow, were accepted without reservation.

We spent our summers organizing communities, hustling and agitating in the streets of Chicago, fostering discontentment and teaching race baiting.  After all, everyone deserves a fair share of America’s prosperity, even if he or she contributes little, or perhaps even nothing to the whole.

We truly believe in this principle because on the streets, what you get is inversely proportionate to what you give.

And just by a person’s mere existence, he is entitled to enjoy a piece of everything that other people have to work so hard to get, whether or not he is educated… or even working a job.  It’s only fair.  We live in one of the wealthiest nations on the earth.

America can afford it.  America is rich.

This “fairness doctrine” is the law of the streets.  It is fair to take what someone else has; using force to get it is even better.

What we wanted was power. Because on the streets, only the strong

So we registered 50,000… no 100,000… no 150,000 people to vote to be sure that those voices could be heard all the way to Washington.

After our graduation from Columbia, we applied to and were awarded admission into the best law school program in the country at Harvard.  And let’s not forget that we were named President of the Harvard Law Review during the then peak of minority admissions without having ever written anything for publication.

We spent our years there with…can we remember?  Somewhere along the way, we acquired a friend named Bill Ayers, and powerful patron named Tony Rezko, and a girlfriend.

And after graduation, we went to work for the law firm that represented our patron, even though our high profile at Harvard should have resulted in a far more prestigious position.

Of course, neither Ayers nor Rezko or any of our other associations from that era, aside from our girlfriend-now-spouse, are at our side today, even though we hobnobbed with both men as we began our political careers, first in the Illinois legislature and then in the United States Senate.  We used hardball tactics to kick incumbents off the ticket so we could run unopposed.

But we also used our terrorist friend and our slumlord employer to raise money for our campaigns.  But you must remember, Ayers and Rezko were not bad people when we knew them.  After all, Ayers is rehabilitated now even if he is unrepentant…and a respected teacher at a university.  We hope that this explanation will curb your questions, and if it doesn’t, well, hands off that subject.  We aren’t answering any more questions about it.

Our mortgages?  Well, we really don’t know how we got our mortgages for our two homes.  We just don’t know too much about how that process works, even though we have purchased two properties for our family in the past.

But we have good ideas about how to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, especially since we know how to qualify for mortgages our income will not support.  After all, we had our own personal Fannie in Nadhmi Auchi, but you’ll have to ask Rezko about him.  We don’t really know anything about him or his dealings with our former campaign financier.

Sigh…poor imprisoned Tony…he just wasn’t what we thought he was, even though we saw firsthand in our law practice the slums he created, freezing our brothers and sisters in the coldest Chicago winter in a hundred years for eight days in one of his apartment complexes with no working heat.

But we really didn’t care about that.  We knew that we could manipulate those poor souls, and countless others like them, into believing that we truly were one of them.  And once they believed it, they would give us the power we needed to achieve our political goals.

And then we could do whatever we wanted.

And today we are doing just that.  Now that we have applied for the job of President of the United States, we do not have to supply our qualifications to our potential employers, the people of the United States of America

We do not have to submit a birth certificate, or present college transcripts like everyone else in America who is applying for a job.  We do not have to submit our identity documents or undergo a background check or be asked challenging questions in our interviews to determine our fitness for employment.

We do not have to submit our medical records to verify our good health or submit to random drug testing.

We all can get our jobs this way.

Answer me honestly:  Don’t we all have a life just like that?

I know I don’t.

The reality of the situation is this:  The standards for Barak Obama have, and continue to be different…as they are for all minority candidates.

He is not like all of the rest of us.  He is a minority, entitled to be held to the minority standard…all the way to the White House.

Perhaps this tells us that Americans truly believe in affirmative action.

Because today we have the quintessential affirmative action presidential candidate, not being considered for employment because he is truly qualified, but who is under consideration because he meets an employment quota, lest America targeted by the likes of Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition.

He knows that his resume is thin, and that he is not truly qualified for the job…and by refusing to release his records, he clearly indicates that he does not want us arriving at the same conclusion.

But just in case we might consider employing John McCain, the threats have already begun.  Have you listened to Louis Farrakhan or Jesse Jackson lately?

More ominously, all of these things show us how Obama truly sees himself…and how he sees the America that needs him.

He is The Agent of Change…The Hope for All America.

And to him, those are credentials enough.

But no other minority candidate I know has terrorists kicking off his campaign for public office or funding his campaign coffers, or writing his autobiographies, or soliciting funds for his mortgages from corrupt Iraqi businessmen like Nadmhi Auchi, or maintaining relationships with other, more shadowy figures whose influence over him is yet indeterminate.

Given all of these considerations, could we really be at fault for believing that Barak Obama is not truly like ANY of the rest of us, minority or otherwise?

After all, he is the one who constantly reminds us that he doesn’t look like us, and his name is not like ours either.

But he does look like some of us.

And because he does, we have given him the power he wanted because we had a dream…an American Dream.

Today that dream…our dream…is under siege.

But unfortunately, most of us are not even aware that it has been attacked and exploited by an enemy intent on destroying us from within.

And while we are busy fighting the War on Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan, a quiet coup has occurred right here at home, and we don’t even see it.

Using the power we have given to him, Barak Hussein Obama has hijacked the civil rights movement for his own cause…to fulfill his own dreams…and the Marxist dreams of his Kenyan father.

No wonder his international endorsees include Fidel Castro, Daniel Ortega, Hugo Chavez, Muammar Qaddafi, Mahmoud Ahmedinijad, Hamas, and FARC.

He has seized our imagination and captured our ideals.  And he is holding them hostage… to exchange for His Dream.

And in doing so, Obama shows us that he is really not like any of us at all.

Only terrorists take hostages.

Saul Alinsky would be proud.

EXPLOSIVE NEWS: Obama Collaborated with Chicago Democratic Socialist Party

Due credit to Yid with Lid for breaking the news that will end Barack Obama’s run for the White House.

    by Bruce Bentley

Secondly, the NP’s ‘96 Political Program has been enormously successful with 3 of 4 endorsed candidates winning electoral primaries. All four candidates attended the NP membership meeting on April 11th to express their gratitude. Danny Davis, winner in the 7th Congressional District, invited NPers to join his Campaign Steering Committee. Patricia Martin, who won the race for Judge in 7th Subcircuit Court, explained that due to the NP she was able to network and get experienced advice from progressives like Davis. Barack Obama, victor in the 13th State Senate District, encouraged NPers to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration. What are the goals of the Chicago Democratic Socialist Party?

Our mission is to establish democratic socialism as a political force in the United States and around the world by training and mobilizing socialist activists to participate in a vibrant and diverse socialist organization at both the local and the national level. DSA both educates the public about democratic socialist values and policies and builds progressive coalitions to win victories that move the U.S. and the world toward social democracy. In the near term, democratic socialists struggle for reforms that shift power and resources away from corporate elites and put them in the hands of ordinary citizens. In the long term, democratic socialists fight for a world in which all people share equally in the governing of the economic, political and cultural institutions and relationships that shape their lives.

Everything on the Post Below is Hyperlinked to a site within the Chicago Democratic party archives, there is no conjecture, no guessing, The fact is that as recently as 1996 Senator Obama was an active member of the Chicago Democratic Socialist Party.

We have verified Barack Obama’s involvement with the Chicago New Party per the Web site of the Chicago Democratic Socialist Party, to the extent of inviting Democratic Socialists to join his task force on voter registration and voter education.
